Tragedy Strikes: Five Lives Lost in West Virginia House Fire
Over the weekend, a devastating house fire in West Virginia claimed the lives of five individuals, including four young children. The incident occurred on Woods Edge Road near Mathias, according to the Office of the West Virginia State Fire Marshal.
When emergency crews arrived at the scene, they were met with a horrifying sight – the house was completely engulfed in flames. Despite their efforts, one adult and four children, aged between one and five years old, tragically lost their lives.
The victims have been identified as Hunter, Grayson, Bucklee, Abilene, and Jayce. A Go Fund Me page has been set up to support the grieving family.
Fortunately, one individual, Candi Strawderman, managed to escape the fire with minor injuries and was promptly taken to a nearby medical facility.
The cause of the fire remains unknown due to the extensive damage to the building. Shockingly, no fire alarms were found among the debris.
