After Park Car Collapses In New York City, 1 Killed, 5 Injured

On Tuesday, a parking garage collapsed in Lower Manhattan, leaving at least one person dead and five people injured.

The second floor of the five-story park structure gave way and collapsed onto the floor ground around 4 p.m., according to The New York Times.

At a press conference, FDNY Chief of Operations John Esposito stated that, as far as we can tell, there were six patients — six workers — in the building at the time of the collapse.

Eric Adams, the mayor of New York City, tweeted that his first responders had saved five of his own citizens from the partial decline of a parking garage on Ann Street between Nassau and William. They were transported to the hospital.

Officials continued to hold out hope that no one else had been hurt in the door, Adams confirmed, adding that at least one person had passed away.

The work didn’t start tonight, he continued, adding that while we are appreciative of our first responders’ incredible work, including the cutting-edge technology they employed in rescue operations. ” A probe into how this occurred is currently underway. We’ll’ll get the answers.

Esposito continued,” The fire department” deployed our robot dog into the building ,” giving” us a video inside and then we’re’re able to fly drones inside to conduct an assessment and conduct searches.”

Before the parking garage collapsed, a witness claimed to have heard” a really big growth.”

Gabriel Yahoudaief remarked,” We heard a really loud roar, like something out of the real. It sounded like it had exploded. ” I saw people leaving the scene promptly, it was crazy. Individuals felt frightened. Anyone believed that to be their final time on earth.
