Eleven Passengers Hospitalized After Delta Flight Hits Turbulence

ATLANTA—In a terrifying incident, eleven people on a ​Delta Air Lines flight were rushed to the hospital on Tuesday after the ​plane ‌encountered severe turbulence while en route ⁢to Atlanta, according to officials.

Flight 175, which had departed from Milan, Italy, ⁤was approximately 40 ⁣miles (64 kilometers) northeast of Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport when the crew reported the turbulent conditions, ‍as confirmed by the Federal Aviation Administration. The agency has⁢ announced⁢ that it will conduct a thorough investigation into the incident.

The Airbus A350, despite the turbulence, managed to land safely at‍ the airport just before 7 p.m., bringing relief to all on board.

Delta has ‍stated that eleven passengers and crew members were transported to the hospital, although specific details regarding their injuries or conditions have ​not been disclosed.

The flight was carrying a total of ⁤151​ passengers, along with ten⁣ flight attendants and four pilots, as reported by Delta.
