11-Year-Old Boy Shot And Killed By 14-Year-Old Girl In Dallas: Police
According to authorities, an 11-year old boy was killed and shot by a 14 year-old girl in a Dallas apartment building on Sunday.
Oak Cliff police responded to a shooting at an apartment complex in Oak Cliff. Dallas police spokesperson Sgt. Warren Mitchell said in a news conference.
Mitchell explained that the shot was fired in the direction of the girl but ended up striking Mitchell who was standing by.
Mitchell reported that the boy was taken by Mitchell to a hospital, where he died from his injuries.
The suspect fled to an apartment complex nearby and was taken into police custody.
The suspect was not suspected by police “horrible incident” Mitchell stated that Mitchell believed it to be gang-related.
“It appears to be a beef between two juveniles that led to a deadly outcome,” Mitchell added.

Police said that the weapon was found during an ongoing investigation.
“I find it hard and disheartening. This senseless violence, especially with the young people,” Cassie Sheffield, a resident of the organization “No More Violence,” told WFAA. She also added: “How are these young people getting a hold of so many weapons? … I pray for more help in the community.”
