Teenager Injured in San Pedro Shooting
A 16-year-old boy was wounded in a dramatic shooting incident that took place in San Pedro on November 2nd. The incident occurred during a heated argument between two groups.
According to the Los Angeles Police Department (LAPD) spokesman Drake Madison, officers were dispatched to 12th St. between Gaffey St. and Cabrillo Ave. at around 4:15 p.m. on November 2nd after receiving reports of gunshots.
The victim, who was later interviewed at Little Company of Mary San Pedro Hospital, revealed that he was walking in the area when he witnessed a confrontation between two groups, one presumed to be black and the other Hispanic. Suddenly, multiple gunshots rang out, and the victim felt a sharp pain in his hip. The suspects quickly fled the scene, with one managing to escape in a vehicle.
The victim was promptly taken to the hospital by a friend and is currently in stable condition. The investigation into the incident is still ongoing.
