Tragic Discovery in the Rio Grande
On August 2nd, a heartbreaking incident unfolded on the Mexico side of the Texas border. Two lifeless bodies were discovered in the powerful currents of the Rio Grande.
The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) swiftly took action, promptly alerting the Mexican consulate about the distressing situation. The report indicated that there was a “possible drowning victim floating upstream from the marine barrier.”
Recognizing the urgency of the matter, DPS also reached out to U.S. Customs and Border Protection for assistance.
