— Søren Kierkegaard
A tweet from a journalist has never led to anything good. At least that’s what I hope. Was case up to June 3, 2022. Dave Weigel then logged on and pressed “retweet,” The chain of events that led directly to the next (very offensive) journalist was set in motion getting fired.

They weren’t.
Felicia Sonmez is one of Weigel’s coworkers at the Post, had a frenzied reaction so deranged that it wasn’t immediately clear if she was just trying to prove the joke’s punchline. “Fantastic to work at a news outlet where retweets like this are allowed!” she howled.
The rest is history. Weigel was dismissed for a month with no pay. Nevertheless, Sonmez persisted. Despite being told numerous times to “Remain calm,” Sonmez refused to give up. calm downThe sarcastic, if not humorous, scold continued to reprimand her coworkers and her employer for making it unsafe or whatever. She continued to tweet until the end. Post Had no choice but fire her “insubordination” “violating the Post‘s standards on workplace collegiality and inclusivity.”
