Former ⁢NBA‌ Player ⁢Brandon Hunter Dies Suddenly ‍at Age 42

Former NBA player Brandon Hunter ⁣tragically passed⁣ away⁤ on Tuesday at the age⁢ of 42.

Hunter collapsed while participating ​in ⁤hot yoga in Orlando, Florida.​ The cause of death has not been released yet,⁢ according to NBC News.

His mother-in-law,⁤ Carolyn Cliett, shared that Hunter regularly‍ practiced hot yoga and was in good shape. The news of his sudden death has‍ left his loved ones in shock.

Hunter,⁣ known for his skills as a power forward, was drafted by the Boston Celtics⁣ in the second round of the ​2003 NBA draft.

The Celtics’ official‌ account paid​ tribute to Hunter, referring to him as a “Celtic for life” in a ‍ post on Tuesday.

Although Hunter’s last NBA appearance was⁤ in 2005 as a member of the Orlando Magic, the team⁤ honored him with a statement on their ‍official account.

Although his NBA career was brief, with only 67 games ​played, Hunter found success​ in ‍European basketball.

Originally from Cincinnati, Hunter was a standout player for the Ohio University Bobcats, leading all of Division I college⁢ basketball in rebounding during ⁤the 2002-03 season.

The Ohio University basketball team​ expressed their sadness ⁣over the loss of their basketball ​legend, Brandon Hunter, and extended their condolences to his ‍family.

Tim O’Shea,⁣ Hunter’s college⁤ coach, took to Facebook ⁢to remember him‍ as “the best player I​ ever had the good fortune of ⁤coaching.”

O’Shea also highlighted Hunter’s personal growth and how sports can positively impact someone’s life, especially coming ‌from a challenging background.

Hunter ‌is survived by his wife and​ three children, ⁤aged ​5⁤ to 15, according to NBC.
