Famed Rapper 50 Cent Declares Los Angeles “Finished” After Reinstatement of Zero-Bail Policy

In a recent Instagram post, Curtis Jackson, widely known as 50 Cent, expressed his concern over the reinstatement of the zero-bail policy in Los Angeles. The city, which is controlled by Democrats, has faced criticism for this decision.

A Superior Court judge issued the order in response to a class action lawsuit filed by several plaintiffs. The lawsuit claimed that individuals who couldn’t afford bail suffered negative consequences such as missed work, separation from their families, and lapsed medical care.

Sharing a news segment on Instagram, 50 Cent wrote, “LA is finished. Watch how bad it gets out there.” The video highlighted that the sheriff’s department will no longer detain individuals for non-serious, non-violent crimes like theft, shoplifting, drug use, vandalism, and battery.

According to the news clip, many people will be released immediately without having to pay bail before their arraignment. This decision has raised concerns among the public.

Local Officials Fail to Challenge the Order

The judge reportedly called on local officials, including LAPD Chief Michael Moore, LA County Sheriff Robert Luna, and District Attorney George Gascogne, to challenge the order. However, no one stood up to oppose it, surprising the judge.

This lack of opposition has further fueled 50 Cent’s belief that the city is heading towards a difficult situation. He shared the Instagram post to raise awareness about the potential consequences of the zero-bail policy.
