Gina Carano Joins Cast Of Hunter Biden Biopic
Gina Carano announced Thursday that she is joining the cast of a new Hunter Biden biopic already filming in Serbia. The former “Mandalorian” actress just wrapped shooting the Western “Terror on the Prairie for The Daily Wire. She said in a video posted to YouTube that she’s excited to now join “My Son Hunter.” The film stars acclaimed British actor Laurence Fox (“Gosford Park,” “Victoria”) as Biden, following his hard-partying lifestyle and shady business dealings involving his father, Joe Biden.
Producer Phelim McAleer told Deadline Carano will be playing a “world-weary Secret Service agent present at most of the Biden family’s dodgy dealings.” He added that her character “provides a voice of truth and sardonic comedy over the absurd dealings of the Biden family and various Chinese, Russian, and Ukrainian oligarchs. She is present throughout the film – commenting and sometimes narrating the absurd life and party lifestyle of Hunter Biden and the dodgy dealings of his father.”
Said Carano:
I feel excited to be working with incredible actors, a visionary director and some new found friends as producers. …The script was instantly intriguing and side achingly hilarious to me, especially after being newly exposed to the political realm in 2020. Robert Davi is someone who reached out to me as soon as I was ‘cancelled’ in Feb. 2021. I signed on in support of him and one of my favorite humans Laurence Fox. They both have always been actors I adore watching and now they both have become my friends and mentors. The icing on the cake was getting to meet John James, a wildly funny charismatic and lovable human. It is such a pleasure to be on the forefront of groundbreaking story telling.
Carano gave a particular shout-out to director Robert Davi (“Die Hard,” License to Kill”) as someone who reached out to her after Disney fired her from the hit Star Wars series for sharing her political opinions on social media. She described the veteran actor as “somebody I admire who and somebody who I believe is painting an incredible picture right now.”
She also praised actor John James (“Dynasty,” The “Colbys”) for his role as the 46th president, saying “John is just one of my favorite human beings—absolutely talented, amazing and gentle-spirited.”
Davi said he cast Carano because of the sense of strength combined with vulnerability she exudes.
“When we think of the modern female,” he said, “we look to women
