KAMALA’S CURSE: Ex-Harris Aide’s TV Show Tanks
Former Kamala Harris spokeswoman Symone Sanders’s TV debut flopped in the ratings, the New York Post reported Tuesday.
Sanders, who in January fled the vice president’s office to host an MSNBC talk show at 4 p.m. on Saturday, drew just 361,000 viewers, according to Nielsen ratings. The Post noted she “managed to attract just 29,000 viewers in the advertiser-coveted 25-54 demographic.”
While Sanders said she would not be “a spokesperson for the Biden administration” on the show, her first guest was first lady Jill Biden. Sanders said she and Biden talked about “some pretty heavy topics,” such as “details about her family” and her job teaching English at Northern Virginia Community College.
Sanders is far from the only Harris aide to jump ship. The vice president’s chief of staff in April became the 12th staffer to quit following reports that Harris is a “toxic” and “abusive” boss.
Harris’s ratings are even worse than Sanders’s. A poll last month found that Harris is underwater even in her deep-blue home state of California.
Sanders’s flop TV show may be an ominous sign for White House press secretary Jen Psaki, who this week is also leaving the Biden administration to become an MSNBC host.
