Comedian Andy Dick Arrested On Suspicion Of Sexual Battery: Report
Comedian Andy Dick has been arrested on suspicion of felony sexual battery in California, according to a report.
A spokesperson for the Orange County Sheriff told Fox News Digital law that police were summoned to the O’Neill Regional Park in Trabuco Canyon around 9 a.m. local time. There, Dick, 56, was arrested when a man alleged that the former MTV star had assaulted him.
TMZ reported that the incident was live-streamed on the Captain Content’s RV YouTube channel.
Dick and a group of live streamers had been living at the campsite in RVs for an extended time, the publication reported. On the video, deputies could be seen entering Dick’s trailer and searching it following the arrest. They also reportedly asked to collect the alleged victim’s pants as potential evidence.
This is not the first time the “Ben Stiller Show” alum had a brush with the law. Over the years, Dick has made headlines several times, including for a previous arrest in June 2021 for assault with a deadly weapon. Per Fox News, this charge came after he allegedly hit his significant other with a metal chair.
In 2019, the comedian was charged with groping an Uber driver. In 2018, he pled not guilty to misdemeanor battery and misdemeanor sexual battery after being accused of groping a woman’s buttocks.
Dick was fired from an indie movie in 2017 after being accused of groping cast and crew members. He denied the groping claims but said, “I might have kissed somebody on the cheek to say goodbye and then licked them.” He also admitted to propositioning people for sex.
He also has a slew of arrests from years prior, with allegations ranging from sexual assault to driving while intoxicated and hit and run. Dick admitted in years prior to struggling with drug and alcohol addiction, which has led him to enter rehab at least 20 times.
During a 2014 interview with Vice, Dick discussed what led him to enter rehab at the time. “I had to stop drinking, or I was going to die,” Dick told the outlet during an interview at a sober-living facility in Malibu. “I could see it very clearly. I was bleeding out of my a**. I was going to die.”
“I would always say that I didn’t have a problem with drugs and alcohol,” the actor continued. “But I would drink when I was happy, when I was sad, when I was anxious. Without drugs or alcohol, I was depressed, frustrated, angry.”
“I’ve had multiple guns pulled on me,” Dick told the publication. “Cocked and ready to shoot, but I’ve laughed my way out of it and gotten them to laugh. I’ve been punched in the face a number of times. On two separate occasions, the punch was so hard and so painful and so out of the blue that I s*** in my pants. Twice. That means you’re getting punched hard. I’ve fallen over and landed on my head. I can’t even count how many times I’ve p***ed myself. I’ve s*** the bed. I shouldn’t even really be here. I should be dead.”
