Tony Dow, 77, Dead Day After Premature Death Announcement

Tony Dow, 77, the “Leave It To Beaver” star, died on Wednesday, the day after his management team made a premature death announcement. 

Dow’s management team made a statement on the actor’s Facebook page confirming he died by his family’s side Wednesday morning. According to the page, his death was confirmed by his son. 

“We know that the world is collectively saddened by the loss of this incredible man,” the statement reads, “He gave so much to us all and was loved by so many.”

The management team mistakenly announced Dow’s death on Tuesday but took it down hours later after his son informed them that his dad was home receiving hospice care. Dow’s family has requested privacy at this time.
