Singer Blasts Beyonce, Accuses Her Of Theft After ‘Renaissance’ Album Leaks Two Days Early

Eclectic singer Kelis blasted Beyonce, accusing her of theft and more after the superstar singer’s new album “Renaissance” leaked two days before its official release.

The 40-year-old singer aptly known by her fans as Queen Bey, lit up social media after her highly anticipated album leaked early. In it, one track called “Energy” samples Kelis’ song “Get Along With You,” something the singer said she found out about along with everyone else in the world, TMZ reported in a piece published Thursday.

On an Instagram fan page, the singer, who responded through her cooking account “BountyAndFull,” slammed the people in the music business for their lack of respect and having “no soul.”

“My mind is blown too because of the level of disrespect and utter ignorance of all 3 parties involved is astounding,” Kelis wrote. “I heard about this the same way everyone else did. Nothing is ever as it seems.”

“Some of the people in this business have no soul or integrity,” she added. “And they have everyone fooled.”

In another comment, someone called the collaboration what the world needed. The singer responded, “It’s not a collab it’s theft.”

The New York Post noted that Beyoncé did give Kelis a song credit, but singer’s clearly not content with just that.

Later, Kelis posted a message on social media explaining that she wasn’t just upset with the “Crazy In Love” hitmaker, but all who were involved.

“I said what I said, cause it’s the truth,” the singer captioned her post. “You don’t have to like it or agree. Facts are facts. If you’re a sheep keep it movin this convo will be over your head. I didn’t ask for this, but I’m not afraid of it either.”

“The reality is okay that my real beef is not only with Beyonce … she sampled a record,” Kelis said. “She’s copied me before … so have many other artists. It’s fine. I don’t care about that.”

“She’s [Beyonce] one issue because it was stupid and disrespectful,” she added. “And she should’ve at least reached out.”

“It has to do with the fact that from one artist to another you should have the decency and the common sense and the courtesy to call, reach out a manager, an agent, anybody just be like ‘yo heads up this is what we are thinking,’” the singer continued.
