‘The Flash’ Star Ezra Miller Enters Treatment For ‘Complex Mental Health Issue’ Amid Legal Troubles

After making headlines following multiple accusations of criminal activity, “The Flash” star Ezra Miller has entered treatment for “complex mental health issues,” per Page Six.

The 29-year-old actor, who identifies as non-binary, released an official statement detailing what happened. “Having recently gone through a time of intense crisis, I now understand that I am suffering complex mental health issues and have begun ongoing treatment,” Miller’s rep told Variety on the actor’s behalf.

“I want to apologize to everyone that I have alarmed and upset with my past behavior. I am committed to doing the necessary work to get back to a healthy, safe and productive stage in my life.”

In March, Miller pled “no contest” after being arrested in Hawaii for disorderly conduct. The actor was also accused of throwing a chair at a woman and having 911 called on 10 different occasions, the publication reported.

The Daily Wire reported that Miller was accused in June by two parents of grooming their daughter since she was 12 years old. Chase Iron Eyes and Sara Jumping Eagle filed a complaint with Standing Rock Sioux Tribal Court, claiming the actor had abused their now 18-year-old daughter for years.

“Ezra uses violence, intimidation, threat of violence, fear, paranoia, delusions, and drugs to hold sway over a young adolescent Tokata,” the document stated.

It went on to say that Miller engaged in “cult-like and psychologically manipulative, controlling behavior.”

Most recently, the “Fantastic Beasts” actor was charged with felony burglary in Stamford, Vermont, over several bottles of alcohol that were allegedly taken from an empty home, per another report by The Daily Wire.

Miller was also accused in June of hosting three children aged one to five and their mother at a Vermont farm. Two sources told Rolling Stone that they feared for the safety of the children, especially since weapons were left lying around and the 1-year-old allegedly put a loose bullet in her mouth. However, the mother claimed they were safe and that the actor had helped her leave a “violent and abusive ex” to provide “a safe environment for three very young children.”

Miller was meant to be the next big star for the DC Extended Universe after breakout roles in movies such as “We Need To Talk About Kevin” and “The Perks of Being a Wallflower.” However, legal troubles and negative press have made Miller’s future with the franchise uncertain.
