North Korea Says It Check Fired Nuclear-Capable Cruise Missiles
Missiles can achieve targets so far as 1,240 miles aside

SEOUL (Reuters)-North Korean head Kim Jong Un oversaw the release of two long-variety strategic cruise missiles, state press reported on Thursday, calling it a check to verify the reliability and procedure of nuclear-able weapons deployed to military models.
The check firing was carried out on Wednesday, and was targeted at “enhancing the combat effectiveness and may” of cruise missiles deployed to the Korean People’s Army “for the procedure of tactical nukes,” state mass media Korea Central News Company (KCNA) said.
Stressing that the test launch has been another clear caution to its “enemies,” leader Kim Jong Un said the united states “should continue to increase the operational sphere of the nuclear strategic military to resolutely deter any crucial military crisis and war crisis anytime and completely get the initiative in it,” in accordance to KCNA.

On, KCNA said Kim experienced guided nuclear tactical workouts targeting South Korea in the last fourteen days in protest of current joint naval drills by Southern Korean and U.S. forces including an aircraft carrier.
KCNA reported that both missiles test-fired on Wednesday flew for 10,234 seconds and “obviously hit the prospective 2,000 km (1,240 miles) away.”
A U.S. STATE DEPT. spokesperson declined to touch upon the launches, and stated Washington remained centered on coordinating closely using its allies and partners to handle the threats posed by North Korea.
