The Federalist Staff’s 2022 Winners And Losers Of The Year
Although news stories are constantly changing, we will always remember the people who were at the core of them. Federalist staff recognizes some of the people who stood out as a result of their work in 2022. These are our picks of the 2022 winners and losers.
Jordan Boyd
Winner: Detransitioners
The biggest winners of 2022 are the detransitioners, who draw attention to the irreversible harm and damage that radical transgender ideology has done on innocent parents and their children.
If it weren’t for the humility and boldness of young women like Helena, Cat, and Grace, and others who underwent various forms of mutilation, there wouldn’t be public awareness Or legislation to protect children from unneeded hysterectomies or mastectomies.
Detransitioners’ journeys were not without physical and mental pain, but their experiences have made them some of the most important warriors for combatting the disfigurement and sterilization of young children that is being normalized by schools and top government officials.
Loser: Mitch McConnell
Mitch McConnell began the year poorly and ended it even worse when he threw Republicans’ chance at controlling the Senate so he wouldn’t be replaced as leader.
McConnell spent months badmouthing his own party’s politicians because they were endorsed by the former president. McConnell chose to withdraw millions from battleground states like Arizona for the sake of supporting his friends in Alaska, after several of his favorite candidates lost in the primaries.
McConnell failed to stop Biden’s radical judges from taking the bench, betrayed GOP constituents by joining Democrats’ gun control legislation, was slow to condemn the FBI’s political raid on Trump, did nothing to stop his congressional allies from trampling on religious Americans’ First Amendment rights, and, most recently, pledged to join Democrats’ inflationary spending plan before newly elected Republicans have a chance to review it. He also supports the apparently unlimited U.S. taxpayer funding of a proxy conflict with Russia over Ukraine.
McConnell was punished for his failures backlash Other Republican leadership. If that backlash is any indication of the GOP’s future, McConnell’s days as the face of Senate Republicans are numbered.
Joy Pullmann
Winner: Unborn Babies
My entry into politics was pro-life activism as a teenager. It was my attempt to understand what abortion is and the moral implications that it has been legalized throughout the United States. I learned more about the dangers of killing an innocent, inconvenient life and the horrors of contemplating such a horrific act against the female organ and the miracles that it could hold. I never anticipated I’d see the end of Roe v. Wade. But I did; we all did.
It was an unimaginable moment when Roe fell. We were witness to the end of an anticonstitutional, antihuman court ruling that was as morally wicked as chattel slaves. A great moral stain on our nation’s character has begun to be erased.
Everyone knows there is much more work to be done, as government-sanctioned mass murder is
