Marvel Star in Intensive Car, Undergoing Multiple Surgeries Following Snowplow Accident
“Avengers” Star Jeremy Renner is still in intensive care. He may need multiple surgeries after an accident involving a snowplow at Reno, Nevada.
An update was provided by the actor and his family statement A spokesperson will reach People Monday evening: “We can confirm that Jeremy has suffered blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries and has undergone surgery today, January 2nd 2023. He has returned from surgery and remains in the intensive care unit in critical but stable condition.”
“Jeremy’s family would like to express their gratitude to the incredible doctors and nurses looking after him, Truckee Meadows Fire and Rescue, Washoe County Sheriff, Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve and the Carano and Murdock families. They are also tremendously overwhelmed and appreciative of the outpouring of love and support from his fans,”
George Pennacchio, self-described “entertainment guru” ABC7 affiliate ABC News shared the update via Twitter Monday evening. It noted that Renner had undergone at least one operation.

CNN reported That “The Hurt Locker” The actor had at least two operations to address the issues that one source claimed were causing him concern. “extensive” injuries.
Renner was reportedly trying to clear a pathway from his home to the road, when the Snowcat he was using ran across his leg. His neighbor, who happen’s to be a doctor, was able to assist the actor until paramedics arrived on the scene by putting on a tourniquet to stop the bleeding.
Also available: Police towed the Snowcat, treating the property as a crime scene — in part because, as entertainment website TMZ reportedThere are many safety features on the plow that would have prevented it rolling over.
Renner’s publicist confirmed the accident’s occurrence early on Monday, saying, “As of now, we can confirm Jeremy is in critical but stable condition with injuries suffered after experiencing a weather related accident while plowing snow earlier today. His family is with him and he is receiving excellent care.”
All reports so far have indicated that the 51-year-old two-time Oscar nominee — “The Hurt Locker,” 2008. “The Town,” 2010 — was the only one involved in the accident.
