Biden Said He Will Actually Visit Border
President Biden says It’s his “intention” According to a report, there are record numbers of border crossings at the U.S.-Mexico border.
Biden said that Wednesday’s comments at Cincinnati/Northern Kentucky International Airport were his. “intention” to visit the border during his trip to the North American Leaders’ Summit on Jan. 9-10, which will include meetings with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and Mexican President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.
This would be Biden’s first visit to the border under his presidency.
According to people familiar with the discussions, Biden would not make a policy announcement if he visited the border.

According to Customs and Border Protection sources there have been 617,250 migrant encounters in FY 2023 as at Dec. 29, 2022. This is a record-breaking situation at the southern border.
In FY 2022, migrant encounters reached 2.3 million.
Biden declared that Dec. 6 “there are more important things going on” When asked why he’d go to a border state, but not the U.S.-Mexico one, he said that he was curious.

Title 42, the policy of the pandemic era that allows immigration officers to swiftly remove migrants from the country based on public health, has been pushed by the Biden administration.
The U.S. District Judge Emmett Sullivan had ruled in favor immigration advocates and given Title 42 a Dec. 21 end date. However, the Supreme Court temporarily stopped the policy’s termination.
