Hailey Bieber Opens Up About ‘Terrifying’ And ‘Jarring’ Mini-Stroke That Left Her With Some PTSD
Hailey Bieber spoke out about the mini-stroke that she had while visiting Palm Springs in California in March 2022. She called it “terrifying” And “jarring” And she said that her experience had left her with a feeling of awe. “bit of PTSD.”
During the “a href=”https://www.dailywire.com/topic/hailey-bieber”>26-year-old model’s appearance on the latest show of “The Run-Through with Vogue” podcast, Justin Bieber’s wife talked about struggling to feel like everything would be okay after she suffered a blood clot in her brain that sent her to the hospital with stroke-like symptoms.
At the time, she was diagnosed with a PFO, which is a hole in her heart that didn’t close after birth, that sent a clot into her brain, as The Daily Wire Previously reported. Later, the TV personality underwent an operation to close the hole.

“It was definitely the scariest thing I’ve ever gone through,” Hailey explained. “Even the first couple of times coming back [to Palm Springs] after was a little bit of a strange triggering kind of feeling for me because you just remember exactly how everything happened in that moment. But I think the bright side for me was that it led me to find out I had this hole in my heart.”
“I struggled with a lot of anxiety after,” She continued. “I struggled with a little bit of PTSD [Post Traumatic Stress Disorder] of just like the fear of maybe it was gonna happen again. And it was just a feeling that I was, like, I never want to experience that ever again. I mean, it was so terrifying, so jarring, so discombobulating in every single way that you could imagine.”
Bieber said that it was still painful even months later. “really hard to talk about.”
“It brings back the feelings for me of going through that experience,” The supermodel explained. “It gets easier, and easier with time to be able to talk about it. And I’m just really grateful that I was able to have amazing doctors, and nurses, and people that helped me heal and get to the bottom of what actually happened.”
“Just now starting to come out of that kind of fight or flight feeling of being nervous about something bad happening again,” She continued. “I look back at it and it could’ve been so much worse. So many worse things could have happened in that moment. I’m just grateful that I’m okay.”
The “Baby” hitmaker’s wife previously shared that doctors last year called it a “perfect storm” After the model’s COVID-19 just traveled, it led to hospitalization. “to Paris and back in a very short amount of time,” and was dealing with a combination of birth-control issues, as previously reported.
