“This is a team come true for me,” Earnhardt said this in an official Statement. “I’m a huge fan of the CARS Tour and local short-track racing. The competition, the tracks, and the drivers are some of the best around. These regional series are vital to the quality of racing you see at the top level. Jack (McNelly, CARS Tour founder) has done a tremendous job establishing the CARS Tour as a preeminent series, and I’m thrilled to be part of its future.”

“I are up racing Late Model stock cars on the West Coast,” Kevin Harvick also shared his optimism about the future of the tour. “Late Model racing has always been a passion of mine, and I want to ensure short-track asphalt racing and the CARS Tour continue to grow and succeed. I look forward sharing the responsibility of this group of like-minded racers.

This series will hold 19 race weekends this season, and the new owners hope to make this the best one yet since they’ll be bringing with them decades of experience in operations, brand management, business strategy and other skills needed to grow and succeed.

“The opportunity to work with a group of partners that I have so much respect for in the sport that I love is amazing,” Burton said.  “Collectively, I believe we can contribute to grassroots racing and the overall health of motorsports in the process. By building off the positive foundation jack has build, I’m confident we can create a next-level experience for competitors, partners and fans.”

Marks also expressed his outlook, saying “This is something I’m really excited about, not only for Trackhouse and the initiatives that we’re pursuing, but for the short-track racing in general. Asphalt Late Model racing is the heart of NASCAR. Bringing together a group like this will be a benefit to both racers as well as fans. CARS Tour’s importance to the racing scene of the southeast is immense. The group can bring a wealth experience, knowledge, and passion to the series which will ensure authentic, valuable growth in years to come.

The CARS Tour season will begin on March 11, and it will be held at Southern National Motorsports Park, North Carolina.
