Prince Harry’s ‘Spare’ Breaks Publisher’s Sales Record, Selling 1.4 Million Copies In One Day
Prince Harry’s highly publicized memoir, “Spare,” The record-breaking sales of 1.4 million copies were achieved on the first day of the release.
Critics have been circulating some of the more sensational segments of the British royal’s Tell-all bookMany people mocked Harry’s choice to include certain details in his memoir. The book is an economic success.
The book was published on Tuesday. It is currently available in 16 languages worldwide.
“The first full day of sales of Spare represents the largest first-day sales total for any nonfiction book ever published by Penguin Random House, the world’s largest trade publisher,” Penguin Random House claimed in a Statement.
“While many books by public figures can be fairly categorized as ‘celebrity memoir,’ Spare is not that,” Gina Centrello, President and Publisher of Random House Group, spoke about the new memoir.
“Vulnerable and heartfelt, brave and intimate, Spare is the story of someone we may have thought we already knew, but now we can truly come to understand Prince Harry through his own words. Meanwhile, Barack Obama’s 2020 memoir “A Promised Land” On its debut day in America and Canada, it sold 887,000 copies of all formats. This was a record-breaking number.
In an attempt to understand himself after his retirement from his position as senior working royal, the Duke of Sussex wrote his memoir. The memoir goes into detail about Harry’s childhood, his extreme grief following his mother Princess Diana’s death, and the ongoing drama between himself and his family, especially his brother Prince William, father King Charles, and his stepmother, Camilla.
Harry was called out for making errors in factual matters. In the book, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex states that Meghan Markle bought a first-class flight for her father from Air New Zealand to Mexico.

Harry also says that his mother bought him an Xbox for his 13th birthday prior to her death in 1997, but perceptive readers pointed out that the Xbox didn’t come out until 2001 and wasn’t sold in Europe until the following year.
