Border Czar Kamala Harris To Avoid U.S.-Mexico Border During Visit to Arizona

Kamala Harris, Vice President and Border Czar, won’t be visiting the border with Arizona during her visit on Thursday.

The vice president will travel from Washington to Tonopah in Arizona. It is located about 100 miles from the border with Mexico. Harris will attend the groundbreaking of a transmission line that will carry wind and solar energy through the region, which is 125 miles long, instead of stopping at the border. The vice president will be joined by Interior Secretary Deb Haaland, Energy Secretary Jennifer Granholm and National Climate Adviser Ali Zaidi to tout the Biden administration’s investment in clean energy.
