Tim Graham: Hockey Commentators Get Out Brass Knuckles on Gay Pride
The “progressives” Dissent is unacceptable, especially when it concerns their LGBTQ ideology. Solidarity with “gay pride” It is mandatory. It is not optional for athletes to refuse to join the solidarity. Teams that don’t punish them should be fined.
Ivan Provorov, Philadelphia Flyers defenseman, infuriated sports reporters on Jan. 17 when he refused a rainbow jersey during warmups. “Pride Night,” Citing his Russian Orthodox faith. “I respect everybody and I respect everybody’s choices. My choice is to stay true to myself and my religion.”
E. J. Hradek, NHL Network analyst, slammed Provorov who, at 13 years old, moved from Russia into Pennsylvania. He suggested that he should go back and fight in Ukraine. “Ivan Provorov can get on a plane any day he wants and go back to a place where he feels more comfortable, take less money and get on with his life that way, if it’s that problematic for him,” He said. “If it bothers you that much, there’s always a chance to leave, go back to where you feel more comfortable — I understand there’s a conflict of sorts going on over there, maybe get involved.”
Provorov was not punished by the Flyers. Instead, they offered their corporate support for LGBTQ. “pride.”
“The Flyers should have responded by not allowing him to play in the game,” Gord Miller, NHL announcer, tweeted with TSN Canada. “Freedom of expression doesn’t give you freedom from the consequences of your words or actions.” To the Left, punishment is vital.
“He’s a shameful human being whose homophobia is only going to get more shameful over the years,” Adam Proteau, of The Hockey News, declared. Provorov’s act was compared to anti-Semitism or racism, and he then boasted. “I’m going to keep on keepin’ on, and all the wonderful people on the right side of history should do the same. Don’t ever let vicious opposition intimidate you.”
Journalists should be aware that sometimes religious people try to place themselves on the right side God, and not the so-called “wrong” side. “right side of history.”
Canadian won the gold medal in this competition for intolerance towards Christians “Breakfast Television” Sid Seixeiro was a commentator who demanded $1 million from the NHL for Provorov’s decision to not wear the jersey. He underlined, “I’m not kidding!”
He also said that religious people tend to be hypocrites and lead detestable lives. “One last point! Nothing scares me more than any human being who says, ‘I’m not doing this because of my religious beliefs,'” He said. “Because when you look at people’s lives who normally say that publicly, you’d throw up at what you saw. You’d throw up at what you saw! I’ve seen that a million times in a lot of different ways, so don’t give me that … Don’t feed me the religious beliefs line.”
Seixeiro doesn’t accept any excuses for religion because he believes religion is bunk. On Twitter, his critics are asking: “Why do their beliefs trump my beliefs?” The Left believes you shouldn’t accept two political views as valid. These views must be celebrated by everyone or they will face negative consequences.
We still have freedom to believe in America’s religion, even though our sports journalists don’t believe in it. People still watch American sports for the action, and not the political woke-stakes. We can’t see why anyone would want to live under the oppressive censorship in Canada. Let freedom ring.
