Fox News Weatherman Jumped By Group Of Teenagers On New York City Subway
Fox News’s meteorologist, a battered Fox News reporter, said that eight teens had jumped him aboard a New York City subway train following a stop to them harassing an older man.
Adam Klotz, 37 years old, is a meteorologist with FOX Business Network. A video was posted on Instagram that showed cuts and bruises to his faces following the attack. The attack occurred early Sunday morning as he was returning home from work on the No. After attending the New York Giants NFL playoffs at a bar.
“My side is worse, so much worse in my face,” Klotz said.
Police sources say the altercation occurred around 1:00 a.m., when the teens, allegedly using marijuana, attacked and approached a man on the train. told The New York Post.
“I was like, ‘Yo, guys, cut that out,’” Klotz said. “And they decided, alright, if he’s not going to get it, you’re going to get it — And boy did they give it to me.”
Klotz stated that the teenager pushed Klotz to the ground and rubbed his ribs.
“They got their hits in,” He added: “Where are the parents? Parents, watch your children.”
Klotz claimed that the older gentleman Klotz defended left the scene without any injuries while the weatherman had his x-rays taken by doctors and was treated for non life-threatening injuries at Bellevue Hospital.
“I’m OK,” He said. “This is all going to heal. So, it’s all good.”
Sources told The Post authorities caught three of the suspects — two 15-year-olds and a 17-year-old — after attempting to flee the subway train at the 18th Street station.
“Juvenile reports were prepared, and their parents were called to pick them up,” The Post received an NYPD statement.
According to the NYPD spokesperson, the department does not have the right to indict the suspects due their ages. The crime was technically classified under an apparent misdemeanor.
The law of 2019 however, raised the age that a juvenile can be accused as an adult.
