Tom Brady Fined Over $16K for Trying to Slide-tackle Cowboys’ Malik Hooker
Tom Brady, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback, just lost more this week.
Brady was bounced in the Wild-Card round by the Cowboys Monday night and will now have to pay $16,444 penalty for his excessive roughness after trying to slide-tackle Cowboy safety Malik Hooker NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported.
Hooker was able to recover the ball from Chris Godwin, Buccaneers’ receiver.
Brady was able to recover the penalty, although the fumble was not nullified. For the same play, Tampa Bay center Ryan Jensen was fined $8,333.
Brady, who will enter into his 24th season next year if he decides to return, likely won’t play for Tampa Bay again NFL Network reports that another early playoff exit was made.
The 45-yearold said he would approach it by making the decision. “one day at a time.”
