Seven Killed in Shootings at Two Farms in Half Moon Bay, California
HALF MOON BAY, Calif. (KGO) — According to ABC7 News, seven people have been killed and one critically injured in shootings that took place at Half Moon Bay’s farms this afternoon.
At around 2:20 p.m., a report was received about a shooter at Mountain Mushroom Farm near Highway 1 and Concord Farms on Cabrillo Hwy S.
Sheriff’s officials confirmed that the suspect has been taken into custody.

According to San Mateo County Supervisor David Canepa Zhao Chunli, aged 67, was taken into custody in connection to these incidents.
ABC7 News was told by a source that the suspect worked in a mushroom farm and that all victims were coworkers.
Sources claim that the shooter did not act alone. The source says that the shooter fled to the second shooting spot after first responders arrived at the scene.
The incidents were reported close to Highway 92 and within Half Moon Bay.

Locals claim that Mountain Mushroom Farm has been a marijuana-growing farm.
According to our sources, the lockdown of Holy Family Children’s Center took place at 3:20 p.m.
After the shootings at Half Moon Bay’s congressional district, Congresswoman Anna Eshoo issued the following statement:
“I continue to monitor the unfolding tragedy that has taken place in Half Moon Bay. My gratitude to the San Mateo Sheriff’s Office who took the suspect into custody and are working the two scenes of the murders. “Half Moon Bay is a close-knit, loved community. We all stand with the victims’ families during this terrible hour.”
White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre tweeted that President Biden has been briefed on the shootings, and that he has asked federal law enforcement to provide any necessary assistance to the local authorities. The President will be updated as more details become available, Jean-Pierre added.
