After The Past Decade, Why Would Anybody Trust The FBI?
According to a poll In late 2022 50% of Americans are likely to trust the FBI. “hardly ever” Or “some of the time.”
That raises the question, what’s with the other half of Americans who still give the G-Men the benefit of the doubt?
If events over the past 10 years haven’t been enough to convince those fellow countrymen that something is seriously amiss with the FBIIf not, then perhaps the latest story It will work.
Charles McGonigal was arrested on Monday for allegedly engaging in activities with a Russian oligarch. He was a former FBI agent. It appears that the man who was investigating Trump’s Russian collusion ended up collaborating with Russia. These alleged crimes were committed in 2021, after McGonigal had resigned. But they could have affected his work.
Congress needs to dismantle the FBI using the news.
Consider that over the past decade, Americans have seen the FBI falsify information in order to spy on an American citizen working on a presidential campaign — Carter Page.
The government used bogus materials, chiefly the Steele Dossier, to launch the Mueller probe, which hampered the majority of President Donald Trump’s presidency. Igor Danchenko, one of the key source for the document, was believed to be lying to the FBI. Although he was acquitted of all charges, it is still a mystery why the FBI trusted him. Danchenko None at all. According to reports, the Russian operative was investigated in 2009 for trying to convince employees at a progressive thinktank to work in government. “extra money.”
The FBI dropped the case only because it believed Danchenko had fled the country.
This is just the beginning of the Russia collusion hoax. Other suspicious situations include FBI agents Lisa Page and Peter Stzrok, who were involved in Crossfire Hurricane’s investigation despite their personal animosity towards Trump.
Beyond that, we’ve also seen the FBI be effectively weaponized against parents who speak out at school board meetings under Biden. We’ve seen federal law enforcement use heavy-handed tactics against pro-lifers. Although the agency raided the house of a former president it seems that they treat the current president with child gloves in spite of similar accusations.
Christopher Wray (the FBI’s head of operations), has denied that Antifa and left wing activists are a threat. Wray may be reconsidering his position on the matter in light of the Atlanta protests.
They have been absent on important cases, in addition to the alleged malign acts. Larry Nassar, a perverse and creep from Michigan State University, was allowed by the FBI to molest young women.
Mass shooters always seem to be on the FBI’s “radar,” They are rarely caught. Instead, they appear to be focused on Americans who question COVID.
Released Twitter emails show that the FBI works hand-in-hand with Big Tech — even pressuring social media platforms when necessary — in order to censor certain viewpoints.
For some Left-leaning media outlets, McGonigal’s latest story is cause for concern.
They are unable to see the world with any other lens than the one they have. “Orange man bad,” the usual suspects think the arrest proves that the FBI covered up Trump’s connections to Russia.
“And just like that, the left is putting its favorite conspiracy theory back in play to explain FBI corruption,” WMAL’s Vince Coglianese tweeted, alongside screenshots showing inane ideas about what the alleged corruption implies:

That logic seems faulty, but perhaps it shows that even the Left isn’t so certain anymore that the FBI should be automatically supported by Americans. Granted, they can’t seem to view the world through anything other than “Orange man bad” — which explains their inane conclusions — but still, it’s a start.
To conclude, it’s almost dizzying trying to summarize the reasons why skepticism is needed, but for the love of Pete, why would anybody have blind faith in the FBI anymore?
