Finally Happening: Jake Paul and Tommy Fury To Fight in Saudi Arabia This February
It is now confirmed that the rumors were true. After two failed attempts to get Jake Paul, an American YouTuber, and Tommy Fury, a British boxer, the two viral rivals will finally face off in Saudi Arabia on February 26th.
“Tommy has no excuses no… Baby’s born,” Paul tweeted early Friday morning. “Money’s massive. Immigration no issue. Tyson promises he & Papa will make Tommy retire from boxing & change his last name if he can’t beat the YouTuber.
“Tmw I’m coming to London to look at all 3 Fury’s in the eye & shake on that promise,” The post was closed.
This fight has long been brewing for over two years now. Fury first withdrew due to a health issue in 2021, forcing Paul to enlist prior opponent Tyrone Woodley last minute. A year later, Fury would withdraw from their second attempt which would have taken place in Madison Square Garden, this time claiming that a issue regarding international travel to the United States was a factor.
Paul was forced to find another opponent, first selecting Hasim Rahman Jr., but due to a breach of contract regarding weight class standards, Rahman Jr. ended up being replaced with MMA legend Anderson Silva.
Managing victories over Woodley and Silva, both fights in which Fury was originally slated to participate in, Paul’s current 6-0 record has only continued to fan the flame of anticipation as boxing fans have eagerly waited to see whether Paul would ever manage to get in the ring with him to see how he could fight against someone who is also still in the prime stage of their career.

Rumors of this third attempt we’re met with mixed reactions originally, since it seemed that conversations broke down in November between Paul and Fury nearly a month after Paul’s match against Silva.
“NO RESPONSE to my team from @jakepaul in regards to sorting contracts for this fight. My last tweet until I have some communication from your side,” tweeted Fury in March. Since the new announcement, Fury has not made any official statement or returned to Twitter to comment either.
In addition to Paul’s Most Valued Promotions, the fight night will be co-produced with Saudi Arabia’s Skill Challenge Entertainment Enterprises, in addition with Tommy Fury’s promoter Queensberry Promotions and Top Rank. SCEE chairman Prince Khaled bin Abdulaziz Al Saud spoke about his excitement for the fight to be held in Saudi Arabia.
“With the consumption of YouTube content per capita in Saudi Arabia remaining one of the highest in the world, the highly anticipated bout featuring one of its most renowned personalities-turned-boxer, Jake Paul, will be amongst the most-viewed events globally,” said the chairman.
