Utah Bill Barring Transgender Surgeries For Children Is Toothless

Utah Republican Governor. Spencer Cox signed new legislation over the weekend that appeared to bar permanently deforming transgender surgeries for minors, but things aren’t always what they seem.

Senate Bill 16The title “Transgender Medical Treatment and Procedures,” Legislators made it a top priority to introduce the measure just two days after the legislature opened.

Although immediately receiving praise from many figures critical of transgender ideology including a detransitioner, the bill signed into law Saturday certainly isn’t perfect. In fact, it doesn’t do much of anything.

Utah Governor Gary Herbert signed the law. Histories He can introduce himself by using his so-called preferred nouns. However, transgender interventions and hormone treatments for minors who are not diagnosed with gender dysphoria do not allow. Minors can also find a compassionate physician who is wrongly named. “gender-affirming care” Who will then give them a diagnosis which allows them to inject their bodies with the wrong-sex hormones, and amputate any of their organs. Even teens who are gender-bending may be diagnosed Online.

Furthermore, under the new Utah law, once individuals turn 18, they’re free to do whatever they want. Transgender surgery can be scheduled for 18-year-olds.

“Legislation that impacts our most vulnerable youth requires careful consideration and deliberation,” Cox stated that in a Press release After his signature. “More and more experts, states and countries around the world are pausing these permanent and life-altering treatments for new patients until more and better research can help determine the long-term consequences.”

Cox also thanked the legislation’s sponsor, State Sen. Michael Kennedy, while giving a passing mention of the deficiencies in the new law. “While not a perfect bill, we are grateful for Sen. Kennedy’s more nuanced and thoughtful approach to this terribly divisive issue,” Cox spoke.

Cox should have supported lawmakers in the fight against transgender pride a year back. The statehouse was forced to close its doors in March 2013. Override the governor’s veto of legislation prohibiting men from invading women’s sports.

“We will continue to push the Legislature for additional resources to organizations that work to help this important Utah community,” Cox spoke Saturday. “While we understand our words will be of little comfort to those who disagree with us, we sincerely hope that we can treat our transgender families with more love and respect as we work to better understand the science and consequences behind these procedures.”

Utah, despite its reputation for being a deeply-red state has not been immune to cultural currents that impose transgender ideology upon children across the country. A Utah LGBT group was formed last fall. Sponsored An “all ages” Back-to school drag show featuring performers whose names sound like “anal leakage” “genitalia” When spoken aloud.

Last spring, Fox News’ Tucker Carlson mocked Cox’s use of pronouns after the Utah governor’s veto of transgender sports legislation.
