FBI Agents Search Biden’s Rehoboth Beach Home

FBI agents searched for President Joe Biden‘s home in Rehoboth Beach, Delaware, on Wednesday, expanding their hunt for classified documents.

The search, confirmed by Biden’s personal attorney, comes after classified materials were found at Biden’s think tank office in Washington, D.C., and later his Wilmington, Delaware, residence.

“Today, with the President’s full support and cooperation, the DOJ is conducting a planned search of his home in Rehoboth, Delaware,” Biden’s personal attorney Bob Bauer said in a statement. “Under DOJ’s standard procedures, in the interests of operational security and integrity, it sought to do this work without advance public  notice, and we agreed to cooperate.”

“The search today is a further step in a thorough and timely DOJ process we will continue to fully support and facilitate. We will have further information at the conclusion of today’s search,” Bauer added.

Attorney General Merrick Garland appointed former U.S. Attorney Robert Hur as special counsel to examine whether “any person or entity violated the law in connection with this matter.”

Biden’s personal attorneys and the White House have insisted throughout they are cooperating with the National Archives and Justice Department.
