DC Comics Editor Says “Trans-man” Hero Circuit Breaker “Is Gonna Be Your New Favorite Character!”

DC believes a new superhero with powers the opposite of The Flash who’s debuting on Valentine’s Day is going to be a hit. You read that correctly; Circuit Breaker channels the Still Force – a creation of Scott Snyder’s that exists as a type of dark energy in contrast to the Speed Force that powers Barry Allen and other Speedsters. However, that is secondary to Jourdain’s gender identity as Kaplan confirms. “Yeah! Trans man, but not super into the binary,” He added a Trans flag to his tweets.

DC editor Andrea Shea responded to Kaplan’s post and artwork with further hype for Jourdain’s debut. “CIRCUIT BREAKER is gonna be your new favorite character! [Kaplan] breathes life into Jules Jourdain’s first adventure this February, in which our new hero is blessed (or cursed?) with the dreaded Still Force during LAZARUS PLANET: DARK FATE,” Shea tweets “Don’t miss his debut 2/14!”

A Circuit Breaker “is gonna be your new favorite character” Shea clearly believes in this character, and why not? Shea, it turns out, was proud to be a part of the creation. “Working with @alkcomics as he developed this amazing new character and we planned the road ahead has been a non-stop joy ride,” Shea replied to the tweet.

“I’ll have so much more to say about it soon, but the DCU is SO lucky for the brilliance and care and love that Alan built into Jules’ story and world,” She continued.
