Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes Tells Press ‘My Christian Faith Plays A Role In Everything’
Patrick Mahomes, Kansas City Chiefs quarterback, spoke to reporters about Christianity at an Arizona Super Bowl LVII event on Monday.
“My Christian faith plays a role in everything that I do,” Mahomes revealed.

[embedded content]“I mean, I always ask God to lead me in the right direction and let me be who I am for His name,” He added. “Obviously it will be on a huge stage in the Super Bowl that He’s given me and I want to make sure I’m glorifying Him while I do it.”
Mahomes also spoke of his relationship with God following the Chiefs’ win over the Cincinnati Bengals at the AFC Championship. He had suffered a high ankle sprain before the game, and praised God that God healed the injury in his time.
“First off, I wanna thank God, man,” Mahomes After the game. “He healed my body this week, had to battle through that. He gave me the strength to be out here.”
“But I was with this team, man,” He added. “We played together. I said it from the beginning, when we were in the locker room, I said we gotta be together and this team stepped up.”
Jalenhurts, Philadelphia Eagles’ quarterback, also gave thanks to God for his team’s victory against the San Francisco 49ers in NFC Championship.
“Only God knows the things that each individual on this team has been able to overcome to come together as a team and do something special,” Hurts were shared at that time.
