Kyle Busch Promises Payback to Joey Logano After He Wrecked Him During the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum, Also Describes Race as “A Disaster”
Kyle Busch didn’t mince words when he promised he would get revenge against Joey Logano after Logano spun him out during the main event at the Busch Light Clash at the Coliseum.
With 65 laps left, Logano took it in turn 3 and ran into Kyle Busch. Busch was pushed to the rear.
Busch eventually recovered and finished the race third behind Austin Dillon and Martin Truex Jr.
Busch promised to pay back Logano during a press conference after the race.
He stated, “Logano didn’t get hit by nobody. He just flat out drove through me. So he’s got another one coming. I owe him a few.”
Busch would then go on to complain about the race’s outcome. “Last year’s show, I felt like was relatively clean and good racing. Some bumping, some banging, but we could run long stretches of green flag action where today was — I would call it a disaster.”
He explained, “The disrespect from everybody of just driving through each other and not letting everything kind of work its way out. I mean it’s a quarter mile. It’s tight quarters racing. Actually, this is probably how it should have gone last year. So we got spoiled with a good show the first year. So maybe this is just normal.”

Logano was quizzed about how he got into Busch, and he confessed that it was his fault. He told FOX: NASCAR’s Bob Pockrass, “I just overdrove. I screwed up. It was my mistake.”
He continued, “I don’t know why. It’s still kind of a mystery to me because I re-fired and I came off of 2 awful. But no rear grip off of 2. And then I down in the corner and I still had no rear grip, and I slid down into the 8.”
“Thankfully, he was fast enough to get all the way back up there,” Logano concluded. “I felt pretty bad. But I’m glad he was able to get back up there.”

Logano and Busch have a history together. In 2017, Busch confronted Logano at Las Vegas pit road and punched him in the face.

Busch’s sucker punch came after Logano wrecked him on the final lap of the race as the two were racing for third spot behind eventual winner Martin Truex Jr. and Kyle Larson who finished second.
You can see Logano running wild on the bottom of this track in the video replay. He tries to chase his car along the track but he collides with Busch, sending him down the track into the pit road.
Logano finished fourth behind Chase Elliott, while Busch was 22nd.
What do you make of Busch’s threat? Will he receive a retaliation on Logano? Could this payback be similar to Las Vegas 2017?
