Schumer: Officials Believe UFOs Shot Down Over Alaska and Canada Were Balloons
Officials in the United States believe that the flying objects are not identified (UFO) spotted over the United States and Canada over the past couple days are balloons, the Senate’s top Democrat said Sunday morning.
Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) told ABC News’s George Stephanopoulos he discussed the situation with National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan on Saturday night.
“They believe they were, yes,” Schumer said to the anchor “This Week” When asked to confirm if the objects that were shot over Alaska and Canada were balloons, she replied “Yes.”

Schumer said that these objects were “much smaller” The balloon crashed off the coast South Carolina, at an altitude around 40,000 feet. This poses a risk to commercial aircraft.
Schumer indicated that U.S. military personnel and intelligence officials are now focusing on the acquisition and accumulation of information as they continue to salvage operations. A “comprehensive analysis” He said that it would follow.
Schumer claimed that these flying objects were only discovered by the United States recently. “Until a few months ago we didn’t know about these balloons,” He said.
