Congress Blasts Biden Secrecy on Unidentified Objects Shot Down Across North America

After three unidentified aircraft were shot down over North America by the United States, lawmakers are disappointed with the little information that the Biden Administration has provided regarding what is happening and who is responsible.

The Congressmen spoke to Washington Free Beacon This lack of information makes coordinating emergency oversight and preparing a plan of action for dealing with these mysterious incidents difficult. According to Rep. Jim Banks, R., Ind., the lack of communication from Washington is making it harder to believe that the United States is now facing a new threat to national security. However, the United States is not fully equipped to handle this situation.A member of the House Armed Services Committee.

“It’s hard to say whether the administration is trigger happy or prudent because Congress hasn’t received a substantive briefing since the first spy balloon was shot down.” Banks informed the Free Beacon. “The Biden DOD has said that these three objects threatened our national security, and if they did it’s unacceptable for Congress to be kept in the dark.”

Panic erupted across the United States when airspace above several states was closed to allow military planes to destroy the objects. The initial balloon was described as a spy device by U.S. officials, but no information is available about the other three objects. On February 10, the first object was seen above Alaska. It was then shot down. The second object flew next to the U.S./Canada border on the following day. This triggered a joint operation in order to destroy it. On Feb. 12, a third object was spotted over Lake Huron and was shot down at the White House’s request.

Rep. Michael Waltz (R. Fla.), is also a member the House Armed Services Committee. Free Beacon That lawmakers “just don’t know the extent” These are some examples of what’s happening. “The Biden administration needs to tell us what exactly the policy is as it pertains to shooting down objects in our airspace.”

Waltz said that the weekend incidents raise more questions because the Chinese spy ball was allowed to fly most of the country. “Why would the Biden administration allow a massive Chinese spy balloon to cross the continental U.S. at 60,000 feet yet shoot down smaller objects at 40,000 feet? Joe Biden needs to be directly addressing this issue himself and be truthful with the American people about what we know and don’t know.”
