2022 Buffalo Supermarket Mass Shooter Sentenced to Life in Prison Without Parole
Buffalo supermarket mass shooter On Wednesday, Payton Gendron was sentenced without parole to life in prison for first-degree murder.
Gendron murdered 10 people in a racially motivated attack in Buffalo, New York. The 15 counts against Gendron were brought to him by Buffalo prosecutors. The shooting took places at Tops Friendly Markets located in a predominantly African area of the city.
Gendron’s attack claimed the lives of 10 victims and injured three more. Eight of the victims were black.
“There is no place for you or your evil, ignorant, or hateful ideologies in a civilized society. There can be no mercy for you, no understanding, and no second chances. The damage you have caused is too great and the people you have hurt are too valuable to this community. You will never see the light of day as a free man ever again,” Judge Susan Eagan speaking during Wednesday’s sentencing.
