“We came off the field and that was when we had the wardrobe malfunction with Justin Timberlake and Janet Jackson and they [reporters] were asking me about that, and I couldn’t understand what they were telling me,” Brady shared.
“They’re like, ‘Did you see the halftime show? Blah, blah, blah,’ and I’m like, ‘Nah, I didn’t see anything. I was thinking about the game and was trying to figure out halftime adjustments,’” He concluded. “It took a while for us to figure out what had gone on. That’s for the fans and not for the players.”
“I think, in the end, it was probably a good thing for the NFL because it got everyone to talk about it, and it was just more publicity and more publicity for halftime shows. Is any publicity bad publicity? That’s what they say, so who knows.”
After Brady’s comments surfaced, people called out the former NFL star for being “shallow,” Fox News reported.
“Janet’s career and legacy was nearly DESTROYED due to the incident, and the ONLY thing Tom Brady can speak on NOW after 19 years is the publicity of the NFL?” One person tweeted.
“He should be ashamed for treating Janet’s trauma like that,” Another writer.
Another person tweeted “I don’t think he understands the amount of s*** she went through after that backlash. That comment was too superficial and shallow.”
“So a black woman’s career and reputation is damaged and she was taunted for a number of years by the mainstream media but you know what, it was good for the NFL?!” An additional option was added. “Clearly too many knocks to his head.”
Janet Jackson suffered humiliation, misogyny and was blacklisted by CBS’s former CEO. Tom Brady however believes all publicity is good publicity. Sick. https://t.co/1kcerS34Wc

Tom Brady making those comments on Janet Jackson but yet is so ignorant to the point that he can’t even understand that she was blackballed, shoved away from the spotlight and slutshamed for it for years even while being Micheal Jackson’s little sister. sir bffr.

Janet Jackson? Then yes. Although I’m sure you were paid to be hit repeatedly in the head for about 50 years, Brady, it’s not fair. https://t.co/stttKupyMa
