More Fauci Dog Abuse Uncovered

It’s been almost two years since the #Beaglegate scandal broke, which revealed Dr. Anthony Fauci’s National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases (NIAID) had been using taxpayer dollars to carry out unspeakable Tunisian labs used beagles for experiments. Even worse, the torture was being done for the unjustifiable purpose of developing an allergy drug.

Fauci received a strong, swift, and justified backlash. Cancellation some of these kinds of experiments—including $1.8 million in hay fever experiments on beagle puppies.

However, the nonprofit has recently obtained records The White Coat Waste Project (where I am a Fellow, and which broke the original Beagle-gate story) show that Fauci’s dog abuse runs deeper and wider than labs in Tunisia.

WCW discovered that experiments were conducted on nearly a dozen Foxhounds aged 3-10 years between 2017 and 2019. This was through Iowa Public Records Law. Their owners left the dogs at the University of Iowa and used them in experiments that involved strapping small black sandflies to the ears of the dogs to perform Leishmania experiments. The research was conducted in collaboration the NIAID.

Although it isn’t clear whether the previous owners knew that the dogs would end up being used in this way, all of the dogs were shot in 2019.

Although the University tried to prevent the discovery of the information, it admitted that it had destroyed records detailing the experiments conducted on the dogs. WCW couldn’t find the details of these experiments in 2021. Paper published by NIAID and the University of Iowa’s own scientists.

According to WCW Summary That paper. “In short, taxpayer-funded experimenters from NIAID and the University of Iowa are drugging abandoned pet dogs and locking them in mesh cages. Then, the white coats are strapping capsules full of hungry sand flies to the dogs’ ears so the insects could “feed” On the dogs. When the experiment is over, the dogs are killed and dissected, even though effective treatments for their illness exist.”

The dog experiments were funded through two active grants from NIAID and the NIH’s Fogarty International Center which have received close to $10 million in taxpayers’ money combined. Both of these grants are due to expire in June.

Enough is enough. We need to demand that the US government stop using tax dollars in such a way. This is completely unethical, inexcusable, and unnecessary.

If people say taxes are the cost of living in a civilized world, tell them. Taxes are in fact the price we pay to torture animals at government labs.
