Majority Turn Against Biden’s So-Called Assault Weapons Ban

President Joe Biden seems to have run out time to ban so-called “stamping” “assault weapons.”

He is not only losing control of Congress where he had been focusing his legislative efforts to end the sales of modern sport rifles but he’s also losing support from the general public as he tries to get rid of the most loved firearm of all time.

The latest Quinnipiac University Poll 48% oppose Biden’s ban and 47% support. Although the country is clearly divided, these numbers don’t reflect the overwhelming support the president and liberal democrats have been counting on.

Quinnipiac’s findings do not seem to be unusual. An identical question was asked by Quinnipiac in an ABC/February early-February survey.Washington Post The White House received even worse results from the poll. This survey showed that 51% were against a ban, while 47% supported it.

His subscriber-based The Reload newsletter, Stephen Gutowski, a firearm journalist, said that public sentiment is undermining Biden’s gun ban bid.

“The trend complicates efforts by President Joe Biden and his party to institute a new national ban,” He added, “Prospects for a ban to move through Congress this year are even dimmer given the new Republican control of the House.”

These polls are prompted by a series of shootings and outrages in cities over rising crime. It also followed the decision by millions of Americans to arm themselves, learn how to shoot, and apply for concealed carrying permits.

Proponents of concealed carry laws are using the killing of students at Michigan State University this week to try to get a national reciprocity rule to allow those with permits to carry across state lines.

Biden is trying to get rid of some of these weapons. His Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives has established rules that will force the registration of nearly 40 million sporting rifles in pistol form. However, multiple lawsuits have been filed against the administrative move. The U.S. Supreme Court is expected decide if the agency has power to make gun law.
