OutKick videos
Talk about a crazy week for Mac McClung.
The 24-year-old has just two NBA games under his belt — one with the Bulls and one with the Lakers, both last season.
After signing a two-way agreement with the Philadelphia 76ers, he was still present in Salt Lake City to witness the NBA All-Star Game slam dunk contest.
McClung was well-known for his college years at Texas Tech and Georgetown. McClung moved to the G-League, where he was a popular social media user.
Everyone will now know his name once he ripped up the newspaper. Slam Dunk Contest. McClung scored three perfect-score dunks, one of which was just shy to a perfect 50 points at 49.8.
You have to see it to truly appreciate how wild it was.
It’s just absurd. As you might expect from his performance, it shattered some heads on Twitter.
It’s wild stuff.
Let’s recap briefly:
This is impossible to make up. This is the NBA’s version when John Scott was a Captain at the 2016 NHL All-Star Game in Nashville. He then scored a few goals and was named game’s MVP.
Not the same, but similar… kind of.
If any of the hockey guys misread this story and got to the end, then everything makes sense.
