Biden Accuses Russia of Crimes Against Humanity in Speech Nearly One-Year After Their Invasion of Ukraine

On Tuesday, President Joe Biden in Poland stated that Russia had committed crimes against humanity during its invasion of Ukraine. He also affirmed that the United States will continue to support Kyiv.

“Ukraine will never be a victory for Russia,” Biden told As part of his festivities, a crowd gathered in Warsaw (Poland) Trip Russia invaded Ukraine in war-torn Ukraine almost one year ago. “Brutality will never grind down the will of the free.”

Days after Vice President Kamala Harris said Russia committed crimes against humanity. Biden repeated her remarks in his speech and condemned the “extraordinary brutality of Russian forces and mercenaries.”

“I speak once more to the people of Russia,” He stated. “The United States and the nations of Europe do not seek to seek to control or destroy Russia. The west was not plotting to attack Russia, as [President Vladimir] Putin said today. And millions of Russian citizens only want to live in peace with their neighbors are not the enemy. This war was never a necessity. It’s a tragedy.”

Putin had just declared Russia will be a member of the United Nations. Suspend its participating in the New START Treaty, which is the last remaining nuclear arms control agreement between Moscow and the U.S.
