When Media Say Biden Is Winning, They Mean He’s Succeeding In Radicalizing America

The corporate media bubble is filled with a winner, and President Joe Biden is one of the best. The left-wing media outlets all agree that Joe is making good progress, from an economy that is not nearly as dire as last summer to the passage of large spending bills to fund Democrats’ favorite causes on environment and the war against Ukraine.

Biden’s victory is reinforced every chance they have to do so, even a poor State of the Union speech. They cited this exchange as evidence that Biden had exposed his political foes to be louts or extremists when some Republicans refused to sit still while the president called them heartless politicians who want Social Security and Medicare for seniors.

Biden’s victory story does not reflect a more objective view that would highlight that his wins are often examples of avoiding disasters or outright defeats. The fact that his administration has faithfully followed the wishes of his left-wing base is what they are cheering for. With his abandonment of the country’s southern border, the hijacking of legislation that was supposed to address inflation and collapsing infrastructure but instead poured funding into the Democrats’ climate change projects, and the takeover of the government by exponents of the DEI — diversity, equity, and inclusion — racialist catechism, what Biden has given Americans is more or less what they feared would be the result of a Bernie Sanders presidency.

Reporting on the President

While radical leftists might not be entirely happy with what Biden has done in his first 25-months, he has made significant achievements that far surpass what Obama received in the same period.

Positive coverage is a major factor in Biden’s success. Since Biden was seen as the only viable alternative to Donald Trump in 2020 when his party rallied around him, his press cheerleaders have been his faithful bodyguards. They have remained loyal to Biden, despite occasional lapses in journalistic integrity when they noticed his hypocrisy or incompetence (i.e. classified documents kept in his garage and the disgraceful rout of Afghanistan). They have not called him out for his divisive rhetoric that demonized Republicans instead of pursuing the unifying agenda he ran.

Corporate media coverage has been disinterested in Biden’s impressive list, or attempted to interpret them in a way that made them seem more bad.
