Ben Shapiro: Joe Biden Turns the American Government Into Wokeness, Inc.

As Presidents Day approached, last week’s executive order by the Biden administration was not noticed. The executive order turned the federal government in to one big machine, allowing for the promotion of woke principles. The so-called “Executive Order On Further Advancing Racial Equity And Support For Underserved Communities Through The Federal Government” The key principle of the Biden administration’s governance was presumably named in jargonistic gobbledygook to avoid scrutiny This principle is, “equity,” This will allow the federal government to redirect its entire power.

 Please, tell me! “equity”? It’s not equality. This presumption states that Americans should be treated the same way under the law as any other person. Equity presumes that any group disparities have to be due to perverse government policy and that government interventionism can correct it. This is what the executive order suggests. “by advancing equity, the Federal Government can support and empower all Americans, including the many communities in America that have been underserved, discriminated against, and adversely affected by persistent poverty and inequality.” The root cause of poverty, as you can see, is discrimination and a lack of services. Individuals cannot be held responsible for their failures. Cultural differences can also justify underperformance in groups. Ibram X. Kennedi put it more bluntly: “As an anti-racist, when I see racial disparities, I see racism.”

Government must fix all policies that allow for the ever-present human conditions of poverty, inequality, and inequity. Biden’s executive orders require equity to be “embedded… into the fabric of Federal policymaking and service delivery.” It will not be an exception. “one-time project”It must be an alternative. “multi-general commitment, and it must remain the responsibility of agencies across the Federal Government.” Almost every government agency must have one. “Agency Equity Team… to coordinate the implementation of equity initiatives.” Equity must be promoted in all aspects of government, including the development, acquisition and design of artificial intelligence. 

Nothing grants the President of the United States unilateral authority to transform the executive branch into an agent for his own purposes. “equity.” This is a legislative function. The legislature has not given such power. Biden does it anyway. That means stacking, presumably for generations to follow — a Deep state of “equity”-Left-driven bureaucrats from the federal government who systematize equity in all areas that are not elected or answered by the executive branch.
This is dangerous and should be stopped. It violates constitutional principles in terms of separation and under the equal protection clause. This clause is intended to stop precisely the type of group-driven resource allocation Biden supports. The Republican House must make stopping this executive order a priority, as well as future Republican presidential hopefuls. 

Biden has deliberately planted a poisonous plant in the fertile soil that is the world’s most powerful executive. The years will bring forth horrendous results from that seed. It is best to remove the seed from the ground before it sprouts.
