‘Ant-Man And The Wasp: Quantumania’ Can’t Hide Disney’s Fake Populism

The Marvel Cinematic Universe’s wake-up call is causing audiences to get fed up.

The same saga that gave us Iron Man, Captain America and the Hulk is now a wretched tale that focuses on ideology and escapism.

What did anyone really like? “Eternals?”

The new “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania” This new tradition continues to a certain extent. This adventure follows our heroes as he battles a new foe within a sub-atomic realm. It touches on some of the saga’s new woke bromides.

Here’s why it’s more alarming and less hypocritical than ever.

In the threequel, we meet Cassie (Kathryn Newton), a young Cassie, the daughter of Scott Lang/AntMan (Paul Rudd). We last saw her as a young girl. “Ant-Man and the Wasp,” Now she is a teenager ready to fight against social oppression.

The film opens with Daddy Ant bailing Cassie free from prison after a protest that turned south. Local police tear-gassed “peaceful protesters,” She says she was involved in the melee. The plot highlights the teenager’s activism and a desire to fight for the little guy or gal.

This is typical for modern teens, but the storyline doesn’t exist in a vacuum.

It reappears after our heroes go to the Quantum Realm to face Kang, the Conqueror (Jonathan Majors). Thanos-like villain rule over the realm, forcing its inhabitants to band together against one common enemy.

It’s the people against the dictator and the message couldn’t have been clearer. In fact, a Quantum Realm fighter shouts into battle while crying during one sequence. “burn it all down.”

It’s almost like Occupy Wall Street 2.0 and Antifa 1.0.

Michael Douglas returns as the inventor of Ant-Man’s costume and makes a joking comment about the film’s populist tendencies. Douglas’ Hank Pym summons Quantum Real ants to help them win the war.

“I know socialism is a charged word, but we’ve got a lot to learn from them,” Douglas’ character begins by referring to his ant minions who work in unison to defeat Kang.

See the whole picture?

Except for the “Ant-Man” As with the rest, the Disney umbrella covers saga. That mega-company is often the Kang-like figure who rules over the less fortunate.

To avoid the penalty, U.S. theater owners must run the film for at least four weeks. They must also run marketing promotions specifically for the movie at the exact time Disney wishes, and not one day earlier.

It wasn’t the only time Disney has used its influence to overthrow theater operators.

Disney was also once Critics of films banned by the L.A. Times Following a Times investigation into company business dealings, the Times screened the company’s films. When other critics rallied behind the paper, Disney quickly reversed course.

Last year, VFX gurus from Disney worked on Disney films. They accused the company for allowing poor work conditions. Disney charged the artists with being “insatiable in its demands, impossible to please, overworking and underpaying the very staff who imbue its content with miracles and wonder.”
