Now that Tucker Carlson has received the January 6 videos from Kevin McCarthy, the press acts as if they are interested in journalism.
We are delighted to see the reaction to the news that Kevin McCarthy had turned over thousands of hours worth of videotape evidence to Tucker Carlson, Fox News host. After the excitement, Tucker Carlson was challenged to explain why disclosure and transparency of evidence could be considered a problem. This has been a clown show, despite the fact that nothing has actually happened.
Now we hear from Scott MacFarlane, CBS Washington correspondent and January 6, obsessive. He says that a number of news agencies have teamed up to take a command to Congress. That they are granted the same access to the evidence Tucker received it. The timing and the words are quite amusing.
A group representing media organizations, including CBS News has demanded access to a section of surveillance and police footage from the Jan. 6, 2020, attack on the Capitol. The video was provided by Kevin McCarthy, U.S. House Speaker. Tucker Carlson is Fox News’s host. Friday’s letter to the congressional leadership argued that other media organizations should have access to the footage McCarthy granted Carlson and Fox News. The letter was sent by CBS News, CNN and Politico, ProPublica ABC. Axios. Advance. Scripps. Gannett.
They are so precious “demanding” This access. This raises the primary question: If you think that Tucker’s acquisition is so important, then why wasn’t this demand made before Tucker was acquired? The final report was truncated and the media seemed content to ignore it. Notably, the final report failed to contain the information that was now available about the involvement of federal personnel in the events on that date as well as in the days preceding the riot at Capitol.
These news organizations are motivated to become journalists because they fear Tucker’s possible revelations will cause many stories to be shattered. This was the response we saw earlier this week. The New York Times was worried You never know what Tucker might discover. It was funny to see Carlson’s outlet mewling. “re-litigation of the riots” In a bid for “re-investigate” The findings. The press suddenly finds it unseemly that anyone would continue to comment on January 6, after years of constant January 6 commentary.
This is why the news media consortium is taking action. They are afraid Carlson will provide contrary evidence.
There Attorney Charles Tobin stated that there is concern that an ideologically-based narrative about an already polarizing event could take root in the public consciousness. This would pose destabilizing risks for Congress, the Capitol Police and the various federal investigations into and prosecutions of January 6 crime.”
Are you really here? Suddenly, Now Concern is expressed about the biased and slanted presentation that this committee made of the facts. It used a rigged design, theatrical staging from one news department, and presented the facts throughout without any cross-examinations.!
It is obvious that the newsgroups were happy with the report of the committee’s conclusion. If they had, the sudden demand would have come soon after the final reports were filed. Their support for McCarthy’s pledge to them is not supported by the fact that they jumped into action after the tapes were sent out. “sunshine” The matter is being discussed. According to the New York Times, he said he plans to make the videos accessible to everyone. This is something he had promised to do when he was elected House Speaker.
“I was asked in the press about these tapes, and I said they do belong to the American public. I think sunshine lets everybody make their own judgment,” McCarthy stated.
McCarthy’s standing promise only makes the new posture of the other news outlets even more inept. The group’s toothless barking is not to be seen hurrying in and preening with abrupt legal demands. If you didn’t want to be a Yorkie that yaps harmlessly and is tied down, then you should have stepped up sooner than the committee suggested.
