In a second slide, the Marvel star showed he was not only working on improving his physical health after the accident, but his mental health as well. He captioned it, “mental recovery” as he showed off a book, titled “The Book of Awakening” by Mark Nepo.

Renner recently shared another video showing the kind of physical therapy he was undergoing at home. He said it included an “electric stimulation workout” on his calf and thigh for “muscle strength,” People magazine noted.

On January 1, the “Tag” star had to be airlifted to the hospital after suffering major injuries when the snowplow he was operating ran over him.

He suffered “blunt chest trauma and orthopedic injuries” in the freak accident, a statement from his publicist Samantha Mast said at the time. He also underwent multiple surgeries.

Mast later told CNN the actor was making progress, but remained in the Intensive Care Unit.

“Jeremy is making positive progress and is awake, talking and in good spirits,” the actor’s rep shared. “He remains in ICU in critical but stable condition. He is overwhelmed by the showing of love and support. The family asks for your continued thoughts while he heals with his close loved ones.”

“He was helping someone stranded in the snow,” Reno City Mayor Hillary Schieve told the Reno-Gazette Journal. “He is always helping others.”

Two days later, the actor posted a selfie on Instagram thanking fans for all their love and support.
