Biden Administration Struggles With Child Labor Problem Amid Illegal Immigration Surge

Biden’s administration has pledged to stop the rise in illegal exploitation of children in America. They cited a nearly 70% increase in illegally employed children by American companies in the last five years.

In a statement issued on February 27, the Department of Labor (DOL), stated that it was working with the Department of Health and Human Services to combat child labor in the country and is creating an interagency task force to address the problem.

According to the Department, there has been a 69% increase in illegal employment of children by US companies since 2018.
