Elon Musk Hints He Could Slap CNN With Special Warning Label Over Network’s Pandemic Coverage

Twitter Elon Musk, the CEO of the company suggested that CNN be placed under a warning label. This was in response to a recent report which claimed that CNN had stopped journalists looking into the possibility that the pandemic started in Wuhan.

This news follows a Wall Street Journal report last week that stated that the Department of Energy believes that the pandemic was caused by a laboratory leak. An assessment which FBI Director Christopher Wray agreed with.

Musk answered a tweeter who asked Musk “When are you going to label CNN as State Affiliated Media?”

“Good point,” Musk responded. “If an organization portrays itself as balanced, but is not, it should be labeled to inform the public.”

Fox News revealed this week by an insider that CNN president Jeff Zucker had ordered his staff to ignore claims that the pandemic began in China. He claimed that it would be a waste of time and that they could not continue discussing the matter. “Trump talking point.”

“People are slowly waking up from the fog,” The insider told Fox News Digital. “It is kind of crazy that we didn’t chase it harder.”

Zucker’s hatred for former President Donald Trump made the network an anti-Trump operation almost eight years ago when he announced his candidacy for the White House. The network spread countless false allegations, misrepresented or misapplied facts and left out pertinent information about Trump’s one term as president.

Three years ago COVID spread rapidly across the world. A concerted effort was made almost immediately by legacy media, public officials and Democrat Party politicians in order to discredit or deny the possibility that the virus had leaked from Wuhan Institute of Virology, a central Chinese city.

Zucker and other CNN employees played important roles in debunking such myths regarding the pandemic.

Zucker watched as CNN’s Oliver Darcy published a headline. “Here’s how to debunk coronavirus misinformation and conspiracy theories from friends and family,” On March 28, 2020, the channel attempted to offer advice to the network’s declining viewership on how to talk to family members and friends who refuse to believe mainstream media’s view on COVID.

“While the coronavirus pandemic has isolated family and friends inside their homes, it has in many cases increased online or over-the-phone communication with loved ones,” Darcy wrote. “But, in some cases, relatives and friends share poor information – whether it is bad science related to how to prevent the virus, debunked rumors about cities being put on lockdown, or conspiracy theories about the origins of Covid-19.”

Darcy added the so-called misinformation related to a public health crisis poses a risk to those who fall victim to it — one of the many reports to come out of the network dismissing anything that goes against the mainstream narrative.

Fareed Zakaria (CNN) stated that during the broadcast “the far right has now found its own virus conspiracy theory” When discussing the laboratory leak.

Zucker resigned from his post last year after an internal investigation into disgraced former CNN anchor Chris Cuomo revealed that the former network president had an ongoing consensual relationship — with top marketing officer Allison Gollust — at the media network that he had failed to disclose to the company.
