Newly Released J6 Tapes Show Capitol Police Giving Guided Tour To So-Called ‘Q-Anon Shaman’

On Jan. 6, 2021, new surveillance footage shows that Jacob Chansley was given VIP treatment by law enforcement at the U.S. Capitol Building. “Q-Anon Shaman.” Tucker Carlson of Fox News reviewed nearly 40,000 hours’ worth of footage that day. The Fox News team aired new footage on Monday of Chansley’s time at Capitol.

Chansley was famously seen leading rioters through the compound to the Senate chamber. Capitol Police officers are shown escorting Chansley to various entrances within the building. Sometimes, Chansley is even escorted by Capitol Police officers to multiple entrances throughout the building.

“They helped him. They acted as his tour guides,” Carlson was granted access by Republican House Speaker Kevin McCarthy to the footage. “We counted at least nine officers who were within touching distance of unarmed Jacob Chansley. Not one of them tried to slow him down.”

“Chansley understood that Capitol Police were his allies,” Carlson continued to compare the video footage with Chansley hyperbolic portrayals promoted by Democrats’ Select Committee on January 6. “‘He’s a terrorist,’ they said, ‘he should be killed.'”

Carlson also aired an interview in which Steve Schmidt (founder of Lincoln Project) called for Chansley’s death. “Shoot him!” Schmidt was heard crying on HBO. “Shoot him.”

Carlson asked after he had concluded his segment: “If [Chansley] was in fact committing such a grave crime, why didn’t the officers standing right next to him place him under arrest?”
